I have no idea where they get their corn tortillas but they're the best I've had.  Not being an expert on Mexican food, I was always a flour tortilla guy.  Corn tortillas are generally dry and crumbly and fall apart.  The ones here are thicker so you don't need to double them up and they also griddle them perfectly so there's a crisp on the outside.

The meats and onions here are also good but the tortillas set them apart.  I usually get Barbacoa and Al Pastor with everything.  I live next to Fuel City in Dallas but drive 20 minutes here to get my taco fix.  Another bonus is they accept credit cards (I think there's a $10 minimum).

[The Place Itself] it's a taco shop attached to a gas station BUT do not let that deter you from getting these tacos. If you're used to a cute bistro and French patio aesthetic this is not that place, but if you're looking to grab some quick good tacos this is that place.
[Food] we ordered Barbacoa tacos on corn (maíz) tortillas, and two Al Pastor tacos on flour (harina) with cheese, and hot all the sides, i.e salsa verde y roja (red and green salsa) and cilantro and onion. Both tacos were really great but the flour tortilla wasn't my fave, so corn tortillas here are the way to go. Trust, don't do it...don't fall into the temptation of flour tortillas. The salsa was good here too.
[Logistics] when we went like around 1 am it was PACKED with cars so parking was a hassle, and there was construction nearby so that was also annoying but nothing the establishment can do. It's not a place you sit and eat, just order to-go, meant for a quick bite, they also offer breakfast tacos.
    [Advice]
Find a parking eat in your car or take to go and eat at home but tacos are best eaten hot, and the better order here from what we got was the barbacoa on corn tortillas.

(Gracias a los trabajadores, fueron rápidos y la comida y el servicio fueron excelentes.)

This place is located in a sketchy area in Dallas. I would not recommend going too late at night.

I came in at a busy time but received my order in a swift manner. Tacos were good but I think the quesadillas might be better. Tacos were pretty cheap. But overall pretty generic tacos that you can get at most taco joints.

No place to sit and eat because it is located in a gas station.

I will not be back because I really felt unsafe. Maybe it would be different if I went during the day. Either way I don't believe that the tacos are worth risking your life for.

Its a little sketchy spot attached to a gas station(Chevron), would't recommend coming here at night alone if you're a scary type but the tacos here are truly good, and the price is even better. The fact that they're open 24/7 makes them a real go to spot after a long night of partying/ or just a late night craving spot. I always order the Fajita tacos, and make sure to get the green sauce. Overall not a bad place to stop and get some quick tacos.

At this point, I think I'm addicted to tacos. I'm on a mission to find good taco spots in every area I go to. So that's what brings me to El Tacaso at 1:00am on various days lol. It's located inside a Mobil gas station like most authentic taco places but seems to be in quite a sketchy area. There are a lot of homeless people surrounding the gas station but they have never attempted to approach me. My 1st visit, I parked at a pump & placed a to-go order because I really didn't feel like standing at the window. You can order on the inside or outside window but lately I have been going inside.

I always order the same 4 tacos -- 2 Barbocoa & 2 Carnitas, which comes to $6. No matter how hard I try, I can never eat them all in one setting maybe 2 if I'm lucky. I am taking 1 star for the bathrooms, which is probably more of the gas station workers issue but either way customers need a CLEAN & WORKING bathroom by all means. Imagine tip toeing in the bathroom, scrambling for tissue then also realizing the toilet doesn't flush smh.

Side note: when I called in to order the person was speaking in Spanish so I was a bit concerned but ultimately I asked the right questions & we got the order completed, so just be mindful if you place a to-go order.

Will I be back? Duhh! & of course I recommend it to anyone visiting the area. I will drive by Fuel City 50 million times just to get here.
